Tired---But More To Be Done

A day of slinging hay has left us sore and tired---but we have another evening ahead of us.  I keep telling myself it is a great workout--it is a great workout.....still, I am dreading the 150 or so bales we have to do tonight.

Good news on the adopter front though; it looks like Sybil and Hal may BOTH have found a furever home, together!    So excited for them, and Hal's adoption opens up a spot for another pending intake, so it's a big win-win.  Also, Hal is reaching a 2 year old mile marker...he's loosing his baby teeth now, so we figure the tooth fairy owes him a visit soon.

Hay There...

Busy day today.  We have volunteer orientation first thing this morning, an adopter meeting with Sybil and Hal by afternoon, and then put up hay all evening until dark.

We've got just over 200 bales put up--another hundred fifty to go tomorrow.  That leaves us just 150 short of our 2013 goal of 500 bales.  We'll get there before we know it!

Here's a little fast vine of the baler in action--these are BIG heavy bales.  Each one is about 100 pounds, so loading and putting up over 200 of them is exhausting!
